Happy Easter

Today our little family spent the day with my family. There was a ton of wonderful food, conversation and fun. The kiddo's enjoyed an outside egg hunt. Cameron and Kaden knew exactly what to do.

I'm so blessed to know the real reason for Easter! Thank you Jesus for such an amazing gift!

egg fun

This was Cameron's first year to color Easter eggs. I decided it would be more fun if a couple of his friends could come and join him. So cousin Kaden, and sweet Ava took us up on the invite.

The eggs :)
Cam, Kaden, and Auntie Aim

Snack time...

Our neighborhood has a little Easter egg hunt. Cam participated last year but was more successful this year.

The fire department puts on the hunt, so here are my boy's posing in front of the Big Red Truck.

Cam figuring out how an egg hunt works. We actually practiced with him before we left. I was totally imagining him collecting a few eggs, and then dumping out his basket to collect them all over again. But he kept all 4 of them in there! He improved by 3 this year...Yea Cameron!!!!

He gets shy when other kids he doesn't know are around.

The little man enjoying a treat after the big hunt.
It was so windy and totally freezing out...I guess that the fact that we were back home by 1:25 and the hunt started at 1p.m. was a good thing.

Potty Training

Cameron has begun potty training. He is doing really well.
He doesn't tell me when he needs to go, but he's pretty good
at holding it. Every time I ask him if he has to go potty, he
says "no". But he usually always does. He prefers it if Paul or I
sit down on the toilet next to him. He gets a treat if he goes. Sometimes he remembers
and sometimes he doesn't. He ALWAYS remembers
first thing in the morning, or last thing before bed though. Nothing like a little
chocolate at those times.
we are still working on not spraying too much. :)

He could ready his potty book over and over.

Cameron has been enjoying swimming lessons this winter. He LOVES the water! He can now use his arms, kick his legs and even put his face in the water all at the same time. We have signed up for another quarter. This time cousin Kaden & Auntie Aim will get to take the class with us.

Cameron enjoying the leisure pool after his lesson.

Oh yeah I have to get in with him. :)

practicing his back float...not always his favorite.

Just Like Daddy

This little guy wants to do everything just like
his Dad. Notice in this picture he is wearing
Paul's Basketball shoes. He went and found
them, put them on, and then grabbed his b-ball.
The reason he thinks he should shoot the ball
standing on the couch is cause his friend Maggie
was over one day.
We raised the hoop for her and Cameron knew the only
way he was going to be able to compete was if he stood on the couch.

Two points!

He loves shaving nights...Especially now that he gets to participate.

Like how its in his hair too!

Cameron's Big Boy Bed

Well our little guy hit another mile stone....

He now sleeps in a big boy bed!

Here he is enjoying his brand new train

sheets. He was very excited about them

and before they made it on his bed he kept bringing the

pillow case over to Paul to show him the "Choo Choo"...

Now we just need to update his wall decor.

I love this part of being a parent!

Someday I'm pretty sure he's not going to let me

do his decorating for him. So I will enjoy it while I can.

Well I guess this post is gonna be out of order starting with Christmas Dinner. We spent the evening with my mom's side of the family. We had a wonderful dinner....
The "kid's" enjoyed playing wii all night long. Even Cameron got in on the action.
It was fun to see all my cousins. Now that were all grown up we only see the older ones at
Christmas time. The younger cousins played Christmas songs for us on the piano. I was quite impressed with their skills. As always I love chatting with my Aunts...So blessed by both of them.

Paul, Andrew, Colin, Pop's and Justin
Great Uncle Eric love to play with Cameron

Cameron and Collin so focused on their wii game.

Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning was spent at our house just the three of us.
Cameron was up an hour early ready to see what Santa had
left for him under the tree.
He didn't fully understand what this day was all
about...But with his Birthday not so long ago
he has the opening presents thing pretty much down.
We started at 7 a.m. and it took us ALL morning to get through all of his gifts.
We could sure tell he's an only child. Next year for sure we will make sure
Santa tones it down a bit!

Cam with his new gas pump and quad.
He likes to say "cheese" now when he see's the camera.
Or when he thinks Mommy should take a picture of him.

Here is Cammy and Daddy getting ready to open a present from Grandma Connie
The garbage truck next to him was one of his favorite gifts. I picked it up this past summer and almost didn't give it to him thinking he was over the garbage truck thing. Not to mention it sat in our guest room for months and he would go and push the buttons through the box and play with it. I won't be able to do that next year, that's for sure.

He is very careful when he opens his gifts. He kind of reminds us of his Grandpa Claire.

New Years Eve
Leslie, Darin and Carson came over to celebrate New Year's Eve with us
We had a great evening with these guys.
Here the boy's are watching "handy manny" getting ready to go to bed.
They both stayed up until 10 p.m. which is sooooo past both of
their bed times.
