First day of Preschool

Today was Cameron's very first day of school ever!  I had been counting down the months until he "had" to start school.  I told my sisters repeatedly that I wasn't ready for this. Then we had a parent meeting a week ago.  I went to that and all my sadness of my baby growing up turned to pure excitement for him.  He is in the afternoon class and goes to school from 1 to 4.   When we arrived all of the kiddo's and their parents were in the lobby. The teachers come to pick them up and take them into the class room from there.  Mrs. Mim asked Cameron if he wanted to be the line leader and I think that made his day. He had a great first day and is excited to go again tomorrow.  Let's hope the whole year goes this way.

Little Jilly

So I down loaded pictures from my "big camera" the other night and realized just how much Jilly has been neglected in this blog.  So I figured better late then never right?  She's approaching 1 1/2 years old almost and just like all mom's will tell ya, it has gone by way too fast!!!!

Just like her big brother did once upon a time.  The dishwasher was just to irresistible!
A little snack in Suncadia February 2012

Another move her big brother must have taught her.  They both loved, and she still does, the oven clock lights.

Watching big brothers soccer practice last September 2011 with daddy's hat on.

Hanging out at home...Not sure how old she was here.

Trick or treat Halloween 2011.... She's a little cow & Cam of course is the fire fighter.  Halloween is fast approaching once again, and the big brother plans on being a fire man again.  This is one long phase. :)

Jilly and her buddy Jack Egan.  She is 3 months older.

This must have been quite a while ago.  She hasn't had the letters
hanging on the end of her crib since she started moving all over the place.

And another sweet one.  Sitting in the saucer.

And here is a current picture of my big girl.  The other day we were at a stop sign in the car, and she clear as day yelled "Go Mama!!!" I was taken back by that little loud voice.  She says a few words here and there, but that phrase and command...What am in in for? The next morning at breakfast she asked me "where is Daddy?"  Her first favorite song was the itsy bitsy spider.  She also loves the Thomas the train book that we have.  Daddy takes her on scooter rides. (lowers the bar of Cameron's scooter so she can hang on) She love shoes and always has to be wearing them.  She is very independant and loves her mommy!!  I love you Jillian Claire!!!

Klahaya

This summer we joined Klahaya.  I was a little hesitant thinking Jilly was to little to join the club this year. Paul on the other hand didn't want to go to the bottom of the waiting list again.  So we decided to go for it, and the whole family has really enjoyed it.  Paul goes to adult lap swim nightly, and the kids and I join him for an evening swim when it's over.  Jilly likes the baby pool best so she can dump water into buckets and walk around on her own.

Cam was a very determined little boy when the season first started to complete his "pool test" so that he could jump off the diving board.  So for the first few weeks we  practiced with him swimming the length of the pool which wasn't to much of a problem for him.  The challenging part was treading water after the long swim across for one minute.  He eventually was ready, and passed his test on the first try.  He was so excited and basically only swims in the "deep end".  When he jumps off the diving board nearly every time he dives down to touch the bottom of the pool.  The life guards have asked us if we are going to put him on swim team next year...We'll see, I really just want him to enjoy being a kid!

Dead tooth

Earlier this summer Cameron Jillian and I headed over to Chelan.
We had a great time.
Cameron however, did have a memorable experience.  I was in the shower not realizing that the water was escaping all over the floor.  I saw my body wash on the counter, and asked Cam to hand it to me.  When he reached for it, he slipped on the water and went straight down to the ground super fast.  His chin slammed in to the toilet on his way down.  His front teeth went into his lip, and a few weeks later his tooth changed in color indicating it was dead.  So my sweet boy who hasn't even gone to school yet will have his first school pictures with a brown colored front tooth.  I do realize it could be worse.

This picutue has nothing to do with the above story.  Just my sweet boy in Suncadia.

Summer time!!!

Well It's been quite a while since I last posted...However I'm back again.
I decided just to select a bunch of photos from the spring and summer & start there!

So in this photo Cameron had fallen asleep on our way home. He hasn't taken naps now in forever.  Every couple of weeks though he will fall fast asleep around 5 pm, and is impossible to wake up.  He used to sleep all the way until morning.  Now however, he wakes up at 9:30 ish has a little snack and goes back to sleep.  This particular day we had just come home from Carkeek park and his feet were a sandy mess.  I had to lay him here so I could rinses them off in the sink.  He slept right through it and into the next morning.

Here he is again...this time having a play date with his friend Stella across the street.  They were playing dress up.

Miss Jilly playing in her kitchen.

Jilly at warm beach.  She loves the water and had such a great time.  She would even find a spot in the sand she could lay her head down on.  She did not want me to move her either!

Cameron is really into camping this year... We have never gone camping for real yet.  We attempted to sleep out on our deck.  Jillian had a  bad cough and cold and needed her mama.  Cam was to nervous to wait for me to come back outside so he came back in.  You never know when the big bad wolf is gonna show up!  :)

Jenkins and Cameron in Leavenworth on our way to Chelan.

Jilly enjoying a little something to drink at Emery's Birthday party.

Peanutbutter and Jelly disaster in the car.  She was such a sticky mess and fell asleep just before we made it home.  There was no way she could get out of a bath that night.  I even had to wash the car seat.

I asked Cameron on a mommy date and he wanted Kaden to tag along.  So I took the boys bowling for the first time.  It was a lot of fun.

An Edmonds beach day.  The kiddos always LOVE going to the beach.

Jilly playing in our front yard...pool, slip and slide, sprinkler...anything having to do with water is a hit at our house.

I have officially entered into an independant stage with Jillian.  She tries to do, and go on everything her big brother does at the park.  No relaxing this year, I'm on duty with this girl.

Cam at Mountlake Terrace pool...He was at swimming lessons here.

 Jilly in Leavenworth

My two little turkeys waking up...Always gotta watch a show with there nene's ( blankets)

Saylor and Jilly enjoying the beach in Chelan. Saylor thought Jilly was thirsty ( which she probably was) so she filled up her water bottle with lake water and gave it to Jilly to drink.  She probably sucked down a few swigs before I saw what was going on.

 mmmmm hose water!

Miss Jillian actually in a bathing suit (seems like she's been naked a lot this summer.) Enjoying herself at Auntie Amy's & Uncle Scotts on the 4th of July.
