Christmas Day

Christmas 2008 was so much fun with Cameron this year. We spent the morning just the 3 of us at home. It was quite relaxing, as I planned ahead and had things ready the day before. We spent the afternoon at my parents house with both of my sisters and their families. Cameron and Jenkins both were too excited to take their naps. By the end of the day we had some tired kiddo's.
Cameron's new dump truck .
At age one this guy is in love with Manny the tool guy.

Our neighborhood has a fun tradition of Santa visiting the neighborhood children on Christmas morning. He rides up on a old fashioned fire engine delivers a present and candy. Cameron wasn't too sure about this jolly old fellow.

It's been way to long since I have posted anything at all...So today is the day. Another snow day around here and I'm going a little stir crazy. Last night it snowed a ton (there is way more snow now then you see in these pictures), and someone just cruised down our hill all the way past Connie's house on a snow board!

Dad and Cam after a little stroll in the snow. Good thing his stroller works in this stuff!

Mommy trying to entertain the little man.

Paul's tracks in the first round of snow.

Cam's first time in the snow...His little boots are way to hard to walk in.

He loves the tree!

We finally got to meet sweet baby Mabel! She is 7 weeks here. We miss seeing Karyn's smiley face every day at the office.

The fam at the tree lighting. However, note to self for next year...Don't arrive so early! Cameron was done before the tree was lit.
So this is what we have been up to this past month. We wish each of you a Merry Christmas & Happy New year. Just in case it takes me awhile to post anything again :)

Cameron Turns 1....

Our precious little man had his first birthday today! I can not even begin to imagine life with out him...
He is simply the best thing that has ever happened to us.
Our morning was like any other normal morning. Up at the crack of dawn, bottle, breakfast and lots of play time. The rest of the day was pretty normal too, except for the fact that both of his naps were only a half hour long! Let me tell you not enough sleep for a birthday boy who is about to have guests over to celebrate with him. His little party was fun ... All went smoothly except for when I (mommy) accidentally dropped his birthday cake! So instead he got to have a cup cake... He will never know the difference. I only wish I had taken a picture of it before it went splat on the floor. While I was helping him open his presents he thought it was way more fun to play in my baking cupboard. Vanilla and slivered almonds were the items of choice. After everyone left he was sooooo ready for bed. That's exactly where he went and we haven't heard a peep from him since. We love you little Cam, thanks for blessing our lives each and every day!

He LOVES Maggie and Ava.....When they arrived Cam came straight to Mag's and gave her a big hug...It was so sweet!
He got to open one gift this morning...The one that arrived weeks ago from Granny in California! She knew exactly what he would like...Handy Manny of course! Oh and a very HUGE teddy bear that didn't make it in this picture. (Please note I do realize his clothes are not coordinated. He woke up soaking wet this morning and this is what I came up with in the dark :) )

Cam enjoying his cup cake...

Cammy's Halloween Fun...

As you can see Cameron was a sweet little pumpkin for Halloween...
He had a very full day. First off to his great aunts house to meet up with more aunties, cousin's and grandma. Then later a big night out in our neighborhood tick or treating. He didn't mind his costume at all... Except when we were in the car and his little stem hat turned around on him so he could not see anything. I had to pull over and take it off for him.

What a fun day!

My little Helper

Now that Cameron is 11 months he is quite the little helper! The other day I was unloading the dish washer and turned around to find him in this position. Let me remind you that my back was turned for maybe 15 seconds! This guy is quick and literally into EVERYTHING! But I wouldn't trade any of this for anything! I love you baby Cameron!!!

Finally

Well after five years of growing and very few hair cuts, Paul decided it was time to chop it ALL off! He promised me he would do this after his 20 year high school reunion. Then he started having second thoughts. I kept telling him I was totally done with these long locks. So when he went for his appointment today I wasn't sure if he would really do it or not. He did it though and I couldn't be happier! We wondered what Cameron would think of it when he woke up from his nap, he wasn't phased one bit. Every time he walks in the room he seems like a different person I have to get used to seeing him with short hair again. Thanks Paul for really doing it!

Family

Last week Auntie Lisa came to Seattle for a visit. It was great to see her, but we missed the rest of her family. Saturday we went to the locks and had fish and chips. Cameron however was more interested in getting out of his stroller so he could play with his new soccer ball Daddy got for him.

Here are the sweet babies....Only four weeks apart from each other!

Hanging with Jenk's

We have had Jenkins over a couple of times in the last week so his mommy could go "check on sis". Ash is due to have baby number two any day!
The boy's love being together and everyone is learning to share. Cameron is getting three teeth currently so he has been a bit loud. Jenkins sort of looks at him like why are you screaming Cammy (as he calls him)?

Jenkins took an awesome nap...As soon as he went to sleep Cameron woke up after 20 minutes, and was not going to go back down. Not a happy mommy moment. :)
So this little dude got a little Praise Baby Video time so I could pick up a little bit. See how tired he really was! Luckily napping is going much better again this week....

9 month check up

A couple of weeks ago Cameron had his check up. I adore his doctor, in fact a couple of my friends went to him when they were kids! So with that being said who knows how long we will be blessed to have him as our doctor.
Cameron is growing so fast. His latest stats were 50% for weight (19lbs, 14oz), 40% for height (which is pretty good considering his parents) and his head is 80%. Despite the look on Cam's face this was a easy visit because it didn't require any pokes this time.

Friday, Saturday, & Sunday Mornings...

You could say our family is addicted to Starbucks. Before Cameron was born, we used to go get our coffee on the weekend and take a drive around town. Back then we would probably get in the car around 9:00 a.m., and get home an hour our so later. Well this past year we have had to get creative. So now when Cameron wakes up on the weekends between 5:45 and 6:15 we feed him breakfast let him play a little, and then it's off to Starbucks. Only now instead of our tour of town, we head straight to the beach! He still has his p.j.'s on, we just bundle him up. He loves it. Sometimes he crawls all around other times he likes to pull himself up on to a log. Let me tell you there is never anybody there so we get the whole beach to ourselves. We are able to do all of this and be home by 8:30 a.m. Since having this little guy our days are much longer! No more sleep in's.

Kaden Is Here

As most of you know both of my sisters are/were pregnant...That is until today Amy and Scott welcomed baby Kaden Drew to their family at 7:03 am. He weighed 8lbs 7oz, which is pretty big for our family. He is 20 inches long. We are all so excited he is finally here, after all she delivered 12 days late! Congratulations Scott & Amy!
